Animal Medical Hospital: The Top Contributing Veterinary Clinic for the SPCA Pet Walk in 2009 and 2010!

We participate every year in the SPCA Pet Walk held in downtown St. Petersburg. Our team consists of employees, clients, family and friends. The SPCA provides a web site where people can contribute and/or join the team! Or you can contact us and we can get you all of the information you need! We rely on your help. It is never to early to start collecting donations!

Animal Medical Hospital proudly supports the SPCA of Tampa Bay in a variety of ways. One of our major contributions is by doing surgeries for the Friends of Family Pets and Fix-a-Pit programs that help low income families spay and neuter their pets. We also donate any surplus of medical supplies and medications we acquire.

In December 2006 Animal Medical Hospital raised over $200.00 by creating a canine and feline Christmas Stocking. Beginning in April 2007, we joined the Pet Bank program. Through this program we have donated over $265.00. Other fundraisers we have held in the clinic have also been very successful earning over $1190.00.

We are now participating in the Beau's Buddies program to help the SPCA care for sick and injured animals. These animals are not in critical condition but require extended treatment. Due to the financial burden of long treatment protocols, we and other local clinics, treat the animals at cost and rehabilitate them until they are ready to be adopted. We will be taking donations, here at the clinic, if you are interested in helping the SPCA by supporting this program.

2007

Our first year! Our team name was the "Animal Crackers" and we had shirts made by Donna Haughen.

Money raised: over $1,192.00

2008

 We earned our official SPCA Team t-shirts this year! We also had goody bags with our clinic information to give out to all of the walkers.

Money raised: over $1,800.00

Walkers: Caroline Thomas DVM (Team Captain), Sandy, Katie, Sally, Kim, Jenni, Linda C, Linda B, Fallon, and Nicole K. We also had clients, friends and family registered to walk with us.

2009

What a great year! We won the First Annual Vet Challenge! Meaning we were the top contributing Veterinary Hospital to register. A trophy will be displayed in our office waiting room until next year, when hopefully we will win again! We had t-shirts made and our goody bags were well stocked.

Money raised: $2283.00

Walkers: Katie (Team Captain), Dr. Eldridge, Erin, Linda, Brynn, Nicole K, Jamie, Matt, Sally, Michelle, and Fallon. We also had clients, friends and family registered to walk with us.

2010

WOW! We did it again! The SPCA Pet Walk was a HUGE success! Jenni, the team captain, really kept it all together and everyone goal oriented. She organized the Pet Photo Shoot, where all proceeds went towards our team!  With help from clients, family, and friends we raised over $3,500, meeting our goal and winning the vet challenge! Amazing! We could not have done it without your help. Thank you everyone for your support!

Money raised:$3,505.50

Walkers: Jenni (Team Captain) and her husband Josh, Dr. Clark and his wife Christina, Matt, Michelle, Sandy, Nicole, Katie, her mom Carol and friend Pam, Erica and Brynn. We also had clients, friends and family registered to our team.

2011

Thank you to everyone who supported us this year! We got a late start and a lot of our events fell through, but we still earned over $2,300! The SPCA discontinued the "Vet Challenge" but according to the team statistics we were still the top contributing veterinary hospital!
